About this event

You are passionate about your students, your community, and the impact and progress you've reached in your role, and now you wish you could expand your impact on a systemic level but don't know how or where to start?

This training is the right start for you.

All students need access to a high-quality, rigorous education to prepare for the opportunities and demands of the world beyond school. But too many young people — disproportionately Black, Latino, and American Indian students and students from low-income families — are getting an education that falls far short.

Disrupting these inequitable patterns and raising achievement for all students will require major interventions in early childhood education, K-12 public schools, and higher education.

Join us to learn and understand our state's education policy governance structures and landscape, develop awareness about important education legislation and ongoing issues and, more importantly, build tangible and actionable advocacy skills to apply them in your community.

We are excited to host this Education Policy & Advocacy Training 101 in partnership with the Education Trust Tennessee (Ed Trust TN) on Tuesday, March 8th at 5:30 PM CT.

This is a virtual event, and will take place on Zoom.
